CONSTRUCTION: Each set is assembled in-house in the USA out of mandrel bent, thick wall .065″” T304L stainless steel. Back-purged TIG welding ensures proper weld penetration and longevity. We fabricate these cats using thick gauge aluminum fixtures which act as a great heat sink during the welding process and prevent warping not only of our products but the fixtures themselves to ensure perfect fitment. Due to the close proximity of the catalytic converters to sensitive components, heat shields are a MUST with the C8! We’ve partnered with PTP Turbo Blankets to produce a bespoke, form-fitting heat shielding solution. Far superior to no-name brand copies, PTP Lava Turbo Blankets are constructed with an outer layer made from pulverized volcanic lava rock (Rated 1800°F Direct Heat / 2500°F Radiant Heat) formed into the fabric and woven into a tight mesh weave. These blankets are internally insulated with high-temperature calcium magnesium silicate wool (Rated 1832°F Continuous / 2300°F Peak) overlaid with a high-temperature stainless steel mesh for increased durability and improved thermal resistance. The Lava Blankets are designed to withstand the harshest of conditions.
